The Riddle of Mount Sinai Prophetic Sites in Israel
1. Ascending to Mt. Karkom (Sinai) in the Paran desert
that is within the borders of Israel and a few hours north
of the port city of Eilat. Notice the valley in the background
has been discovered to be one of the campground sites
for the Israelites after their Exodus from Egypt.
2. Here I'm walking on the huge plateau of Mt. Karkom
(Sinai) that the glory of God would have rested on for
40 days and nights as Moses received the Ten Commandments;
the architectural pattern for the Tabernacle tent; and
the command to receive free will offerings from the people.
(see Exodus ch. 24 and 25). Also note the huge abundance
of darkened flint stone deposits on this plateau that
the Israelites used for making fire, tools, and weapons.
3. At the summit of Mt. Karkom (Sinai) and the small
cave with Ten Commandments replica we brought up.
4. Pastor Roger Pederson illustrates that the small cave
on the summit of Mt. Karkom (Sinai) is just large enough
for Moses to be hid in as God's glory passed by (see Exodus
33:18-23). It is the only cave on top of any summit in
the whole region!
5. Opening in the small cave on the summit of Mt. Karkom
(Sinai) that is from where Moses would have viewed God's
glory passing by (see Exodus 33:18-23). This is one of
the most exciting secret prayer locations I have ever
been in!!
6. The Rivers in The Desert tour group standing behind
the 12 memorial stones and altar Moses built at the foot
of Mt. Sinai (see Exodus 24:4)
Where is Mount Sinai? What is the true story behind the
biblical narration of Exodus?
For all those folks that
might be a bit confused on why this location in Israel known
as Har Karkom is being proclaimed as the site of the true
Mt. Sinai and not the traditional site in Egypt...check
