Personal Note from Scott
Shalom Friends, this is the first book I have found that deals exclusively with shepherding in the context of the Israeli deserts and the topography of the Land. This makes an enormous difference when studying not only the general characteristics of shepherds and sheep in and of themselves...but also understanding that the mysterious topography, landscapes, and vistas of the Israeli deserts as the main context of the Biblical revelation! The writings of the prophets of the Hebrew Scriptures are steeped exclusively in the vistas of the Israeli deserts to guide and herd God's people into His Holy of Holies. David, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and other prophets and sages speak exclusively of shepherding in the Israeli deserts which culminates in the teachings of Jesus as the Good Shepherd in John chapter 10! To not understand this preliminary background knowledge of shepherding in the Israeli deserts, then we are left wanting in our own understanding of what the Prophets recorded for us in the OT and NT concerning the knowledge of the glory of God and the end-time apocalyptic grand finale! It is time to learn how to not only survive but also thrive in the Desert times! I encourage everybody to order deeply study this book!
Now you may be asking, "Brother Scott, why are you selling this book for $100?” Let me explain.... I want you to find that River in your Desert and thus flow in the new thing God is doing (Is.43:18-21). And this is how to find it....
No English translations of the Bible that are available today do an adequate job of resolving specific problems we have in understanding Hebraic concepts of shepherding exclusive to the topography of the Israeli deserts. None! It is not about only shepherding...but shepherding God's people in the context of the Israeli deserts!!!!
Certain watershed themes in the Hebrew Scriptures that are carried over into the NT are contingent on the elucidation of specific Hebrew word roots that have been heretofore little understood in Hebrew and therefore totally misunderstood in modern translations. This book will help you understand these watershed themes!
